Route description:
From Hompland, 6 km north of Tonstad, a path goes up into the moorland, leading onto a gravel road and later a path to Håghedlar via Nystøl and Urvatn.
South of Hompland, by the bridge over the Hemså, a path leads up into the moorland. This goes across pastureland and up an old bridlepath before joining the gravel roads inland. After a stretch on the gravel road, there is a sign where you turn onto the onward path. You go around Øvre Løyntjønn and cross a bog before Heimrestøl. Further up, the path branches off eastwards from the path towards Steindalsknuten and passes Nyestøl. Further east towards Håghedlar, the terrain is gentle and partly boggy.
Between Håghedlar and Urvatn, the path crosses damp marshy sections in glorious mountain terrain. From Urvatn, a gravel road goes back down the valley.
11.5 km circular route, 600 m ascent from the main road. The paths are marked and signposted.
