If you have children with you, it is recommended to take a trip to Sinnesvatnet where you will find a small sandy beach right by the bridge at the exit from Ålsheia Ski Centre. The fish in Sinnesvatnet are not particularly large, but there are plenty of them.

Tonstad and the surrounding area

If you want to fish at Tonstad, it is recommended to try down in Bjønnhøl. Bjønnhøl is situated about 1 km from the industrial area at Tonstad, and you will find a small driveway, with space for one car, on the left-hand side when following county road (fv) 468 northwards from Tonstad centre. Here you can park and walk a short distance northwards on the right-hand side of the road. On the right-hand side of the crash barrier you will then see a worn path which you follow downwards until you reach a sandy beach. This is a perfect fishing spot if you want to bring the barbecue and play on the beach. Remember to leave the beach as you would wish to find it yourself.

At Tonstad it is also possible to fish from the bank. If coming from the south, drive north on FV 468 towards Sinnes before turning in towards the sports stadium and Sirdal Cultural Centre. Here you park and walk towards the river, which is located right behind the artificial turf pitch.
