Route description: From Gravassryggen the path goes straight up towards Storeknut without any major challenges. It is 1.8 km to this point. The path from Gravassryggjen to the summit of Storeknut is called «den vonde vegen» (the difficult path). At the time when sheep were driven from the coast to the good mountain pastures in Sirdal, Hunnedalen was an important drovers« road. When bad weather struck, it was no joke for either people or animals. Sometimes things went terribly wrong, as in 1897 when hundreds of sheep perished in Hunnedalen. The most feared part of the drovers» road was "den vonde vegen". Here they had to ascend to 1,000 metres above sea level, at times narrow, steep and winding to get through. The name spoke for itself. The path continues down on the opposite side to Stølstjørn, Ålsheia and Sinnes.
