Kvinen Mountain Lodge

Route description:
From Kvinen Turiststasjon the path heads in a westerly direction up onto a small hill summit. From the summit you can see major power lines running north-south, walk in the direction of these. After about 10 minutes you come to a signposted path junction, where you head in the direction of Haugen. The path passes on the southern side of a cabin before turning north-westwards on a ridge parallel to Langetjødn. At the northern side of Langetjødn you come to yet another cabin, and from here the path goes up a small mountain pass and further westwards. You make good progress across Låghei, as it is called here. Gradually the terrain becomes a bit more undulating, until you reach a plateau with magnificent views! Further easy, but somewhat wet and bushy terrain downwards to Hønedalen. From here you can order a taxi to Haugen hytteutleie og camping, or follow the road the 3.8 km north-westwards to Haugen.
