Route description:
Klovsteinen is a natural phenomenon up on the moor east of Tonstad. It is situated by an old thoroughfare from Tonstad to Ovedal.
You can reach Klovsteinen from Tonstad via Høgåsvegen past the power station. At the end of the road, the marked trail begins. The trail is easy to walk. At the beginning, the trail runs close to the rock face.
1.8 km from the car park at the end of the road to Klovsteinen, 140 m ascent. 1 km further to Ovedalsgruva. 1.5 km from the mine down to Ovedal.
Ovedalsgruva
Three shafts are recorded in the area, one adit and two other partially backfilled shafts. In addition, there are a number of small open-cast workings. Foundations of three buildings stand near the main shaft.
