Startsted
From Tjørhom, drive in the direction of Solheim to Flesebekk and onwards from here on a gravel road for 2.5 km to Donsen. Park in the large car park where the road ends.

Route description:
The path to Kvinen starts at the car park at Donsen, at the far end of Solheimsdalen. From here you follow the marked path in an easterly direction, across Taddaksknuten, from where you get a magnificent view of Tjørhom, Sinnes and Hønedalen. Further on, the terrain is easy to walk through sheep grazing land, past Litle and Store Haugevatnet, Omstjødn and Mjåvatn. At a signposted trail junction you continue along a ridge in an easterly direction, until you reach a small hilltop where you descend towards Kvivatnet and Kvinen.

Two new tourist cabins have been built at Kvinen. The smaller one was built in 2017 and contains 10 beds. The main cabin, with 30 beds, was completed in the autumn of 2018 – an official opening will take place in the new year (the date has not been confirmed).
