Hiking

High mountains and deep valleys surround Sirdal. The scenery is varied and full of surprises. The opportunities are numerous when exploring Sirdal on foot. You can walk along one of the many marked hiking trails or choose to experience nature by going your own way. You can discover everything from large cairns and World War II plane wrecks to old mines. If you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of willow grouse, moose and other animals that roam freely here in the wild.

When staying overnight, the right to roam applies, and there is the option to rent one of the many cabins belonging to the Stavanger Trekking Association or Statskog.
