Startsted
The walk starts from Lyseveien, between Sirdal and Lysebotn. Park by the shepherd's hut at the bottom of Grydalen; the path starts here.

Route description:
The start of the route is marked with a sign right by the shepherd's hut in Grydalen. Cross the river and head in a northerly direction up the valley behind the hut. After an ascent of about 20 minutes, the terrain flattens out, and you continue northwards along the stream. You then go across a mountain pass, before beginning the gentle incline towards Kjeringstøldalen. In Kjeringstøldalen, head in a more north-easterly direction, up yet another pass. Towards the top, the terrain flattens out, and you turn left up over a rocky outcrop so that you come around the oblong tarn east of Svartetjødn. Then continue the journey in the same valley and direction as before, past Salomonsknuten. In several places you have magnificent views of the Sirdal mountains! You are now going across a plateau in a north-easterly direction. It is easy to get around here. As you start the descent towards Grauthedlar, the terrain becomes somewhat more undulating. The Grauthedlar cabin is in a stunning location right by Lake Grauthedlarvatnet.
