If you are fishing with small children, we recommend the following areas:
Sinnes and the surrounding area
If travelling with children, a trip to Sinnesvatnet is recommended, where one will find a small sand beach, right by the bridge by the exit from Ålsheia Skisenter. The fish in Sinnesvatnet are not that big but there are many of them.
Tonstad and the surrounding are
If fishing at Tonstad, we recommend Bjønnhøl. It lies around 1 km from the Tonstad industrial area and you can find a small side road, with space for one car, on the left side, when northbound on fv 468, after having passed the Tonstad centre. Here it is possible to park an walk some distance to the north, following the right side of the road. On the right side of the road safety barriers, one will find a path leading to a small sandy beach. This is the perfect place for fishing, if you want to bring the barbecue and let the kids play on the beach. Remember to keep the beach clean and free of litter!
On Tonstad it is also possible to fish on the beach. If arriving from the south, heading north, on fv 468, towards Sinnes right before the stadium and Sirdal Cultural Centre. Here it is possible to park and to walk down to the river that lies right behind the football pitch.
