Description:
From the parking lot, continue by foot towards the narrow asphalt road. After around 10 minutes the road will fork and you should keep to your right, continuing on a dirt road towards the south. Follow the same road up between the cabins and after another 10 minutes of walking the road will end on a private parking lot. Here you can continue on the path following the creek up the hill.
After around 10 minutes the terrain will flatten and after a while the path will fork again, where yiu should keep to your right side. Cross the bog by the northern tip of the Mågevatnan og walk along the most northern of the small lakes, taking to your left (to the East), following the path between the two waters. After a while, you will cross a bridge, before turning southwards by the most southern of the waters which will now be on your right hand side. By the end of the water you will arrive by two paths crossing, where you should proceed towards the south-east, following the left side of the creek down the hill and across a bog where the path will become less visible in the terrain.
After around 7 minutes of walking, you should take to your left until you see a small cabin on your left side. From here you continue south-eastwards around a small hill until you arrive at two old buildings. From here, you continue in the same direction up a small hill until you arrive at another bog where the terrain will flatten. Turn to your left (northwards) up the small path up Budalsrinnen. You will pass a small lake on your right side and after around 20 minutes walk the path will fork. Here, you should take to your right, south-east around the mountain.
After around 10 minuteds you should leave the path and start looking for a suitable path up the steep mountain towards the top, which lies around 20 minutes walk to the east.
You will see the beautiful cairn a little before the top, where you will have 360 degree view over both the northern and southern Sirdalsgheiane, Kvinesdal and Lyngdal.
